tl;dr: Trucks that unfold to create modular, inhabitable structures powered by piezoelectricity harvested from highways – present potential to re-activate spaces that highways have disconnected. The Brooklyn Heights case study targets the local problem of toxic soil by introducing a phytoremediation plant nursery – filtering and using water runoff from offramps, and utilizing piezoelectricity for germination and irrigation systems.
